I strongly believe that the first thing a founder or CEO should do after raising money is spend a portion of their capital on establishing or improving their personal brand.

When you are going from 0-1, a founder’s personal brand is often all that you have.

The company brand is essentially irrelevant at this time since you have no users, customers, or employees.

In the early days of a startup, founders are responsible for everything.

This includes fundraising, product, marketing, sales, recruiting, hiring, etc.

Without a strong personal brand, and the ability to sell and close (i.e early customers, users, employees, investors, contractors, and partners) you simply won’t succeed.

In these 0-1 days, anyone who even considers working with you, will do so based on your reputation (aka your personal brand) which is essentially an amalgamation of everything you’ve ever created, and how you position yourself to the world.

The execution of your personal brand assets (i.e your logo, brand website, how you communicate your portfolio and past experiences, your social strategy, copywriting & positioning, and more) is the strongest signal that you have on day 1 to both demonstrate and communicate your value and values to the world.

Ignoring this, and settling for some half-assed, lackluster execution, will undoubtedly hurt you as you attempt to grow.

The good news is, it only takes 8-10 weeks to kickstart the process of building a world-class personal brand.

If you take this seriously, it might just make the difference which allows you to close that crucial first customer, employee, advisor, or partner that you need.

That’s exactly why I’ve developed a personal brand package through my consulting company, Campbell Consulting, which is targeted at founders, investors, and execs who have this need.

After getting to work with various entrepreneurial luminaries at VaynerMedia, 8VC, and Village Global, I feel confident that I know what it takes to build and maintain a powerful personal brand.

My goal is simple: Over the course of our collaboration, I'll help you define, grow, and improve your personal brand.

Here’s what you need:

1. Strategy support to define your personal brand values and goals.

2. A new website to represent you as the best version of what you can be.

3. A custom marketing strategy to help you communicate your mission, vision, and values to the world.

4. New media assets (across audio, video, design, and the written word) to reinforce your mission, vision and values through content over time.

5. A trusted thought partner, to discuss key personal brand strategy and execution decisions who’s always one call, email, or text away.

6. A trusted ally to keep you accountable, and ensure that you reach your full potential through this work.

7. A branding expert, who can share new ideas and opportunities for you, over time.

This is exactly what I do.
